In late September (I know, just in time for winter LoL!), I finished my first pair of Loretta Shorts from Charm Patterns by Gertie (available on Pateron). Typically I usually hate shorts and instead wear skirts. But these shorts are absolutely lovely and have totally made me change my tune. The pockets took a bit of tweaking and re-watching her tutorial but overall the shorts went together very easily and I absolutely love them! I made my first pair in a soft medium weight denim but I can’t wait to make more. The pockets are super roomy and I absolutely love them. In fact I’ve already bought some beautiful tattoo print fabric from Spoonflower to make a full play set (shorts, playsuit, picnic top, and picnic skirt). I probably won’t start them until February but I absolutely love the fabric and I can’t wait to make more shorts.
