I’m a big Supernatural fan (#TeamDean!) so when I found this super cure fabric with the Impala on it, I knew I had to have it for fun dress.
I used the Charm Patterns Stanwyck Skirt pattern and the Patreon Stanwyck Bodice pattern. I’m between a straight 6 and a straight 8 in the pattern sizes so I sized up to a straight size 8 and it fit wonderfully. Not only is the Stanwyck Skirt pattern a super fun sew (no matter wether you choose the pencil skirt or the full circle skirt like I did for this pattern) but I love the pocket options. I decided to use the rounded pockets for this dress and I absolutely love them!
The pattern went together easily and smoothly, with just a little easing needed to attache the skirt and bodice.
The fabric is a cotton broadcloth from Spoonflower and it’s fully lined with a natural, undyed muslin. I call the pockets my “kangaroo pockets” and they a huge! They hold so much stuff! I also love the way the skirt flows. I will definitely be making more.
